Communications equipment

Communications equipment Long-range communications are what separates the civilized from the barbarians, especially when the espresso is on the stove.

Important qualities of communication equipment include

  • Ability to use standard batteries as a power source, rather than using expensive proprietary batteries which require travel with dedicated chargers

  • A variety of clips and tie-ons to secure the gear

  • Rugged cases and engineering designed to withstand drops, dust, and light mist

  • Knobs and sliders which click into place, rather than get pushed to new settings when worn

Accessories, especially noise-cancelling boom microphones, can make the difference between a frustrating experience in a noisy environment and a satisfying hands-free evening.
