About GearQueen.com

Welcome to GearQueen.com! This site is for sharing the field-testing of equipment on which we rely.

Ranger Mickey in a dust storm, 2002 Mountaineering, camping, desert survival, emergency medicine, search and rescue: all of these have contributed to the experience of the testers and the choice of equipment. This is an on-going process.

Equipment is solicited from the manufacturers, put through their paces, and written up. No compensation is accepted; no review results are changed; everything is exactly as we experienced it.

You may help. If you've beaten on some hardware and want to share, let us know. If you're a manufacturer and want to submit something for a real-world test, let us know. The navigation links at left show the kinds of equipment we've reviewed so far; more is en route to us.

As usual, in this litigious world, I have to disclaim the obvious. You are responsible for your own health and welfare. We are providing our opinions and experiences, and accept no liability for your lack of preparation or familiarization with the gear you rely upon.
